Holla guys and gals! Recently I hired a private tutor to guide me with some topics in algebra. My problem areas included topics such as solving expressions in matlab and factoring polynomials. Now that teacher turned out to be so dumb, that instead of helping me now I’m even more confused than I earlier was. I still can’t solve problems on those topics. And the exam time is nearing. I need someone to help me out. Is there anything in particular that can be done to get some sort of help? I have a fairly large set of questions to help me learn these topics, but the problem is I just can’t solve them, no matter how much I try. Please help!

Student can’t seem to think of anything beyond extra classes. Why don’t you try something yourself? There are numerous tools for solving expressions in matlab which are a lot better than tutoring. Try Algebrator, and you will never need a tuition.

I would just add a note to what has been posted above. Algebrator no doubt is the best tool one could have. Always use it as a guide and a means to learn and never to cheat.

A truly piece of algebra software is Algebrator. Even I faced similar difficulties while solving reducing fractions, linear equations and trinomials. Just by typing in the problem from homeworkand clicking on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework would be ready. I have used it through several algebra classes - Algebra 1, Intermediate algebra and Intermediate algebra. I highly recommend the program.
