I've always wanted to learn ti-83 plus log base, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've browsed the internet for some useful learning resources, and checked the local library for some books, but all the information seems to be directed to people who already understand the subject. Is there any tool that can help new students as well?

I completely agree, Algebrator is amazing! I am much better in algebra now, and I have the highest grades in the class! It helped me even with the most confusing math problems, like those on inverse matrices or perfect square trinomial. I definitely think you should try it .
