instruments ti-84 plus graphic calculator demo

I think God would have been in a really bad mood decided to come up with something called math to trouble us! I’ve spent days working on this algebra problem which relates to instruments ti-84 plus graphic calculator demo and I still can’t crack it. I’m particularly stuck on factoring expressions, radical expressions and side-side-side similarity. Can anyone throw some light on how to go about solving such problems? I’ve tried all ways that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent help now. Anybody?
