Sounds like your concepts are not clear. Excelling in roots of 3rd order polynomial requires that your concepts be strong. I know students who actually start tutoring juniors in their first year. Why don’t you try Algebrator? I am quite sure, this program will aid you.

I have also used Algebrator quite a few times to solve algebra problems. I must say that it has greatly increased my problem solving power. You should give it a try and see if it helps.

Is it really that helpful? I’m concerned because it might not really help because it only answers the problem per ?e. I like to learn how a problem is solved and not only find out the answer. Nevertheless, could you give me a link for this software?

Yes I’m sure. This is tried and tested. Here: http://www.algbera.com/schedule-for-intermediate-algebra.html. Try to make use of it. You’ll be improving your solving skills way faster than just by reading tutorials.

I remember having often faced problems with converting fractions, factoring polynomials and graphing inequalities. A really great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem homework a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Remedial Algebra, Pre Algebra and Pre Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
